I am so happy about this project outcome. I am not posting my modified instructions for making it just yet, but I can say I took the recipe from this link, and am now addicted to these little guys at the behest of Leila Cook. If anyone finds me homeless and trolling the outside of knitting shops clutching a bag full of gnomes… you know why.
Actually, Doug is repsonsible for the Merlin-themed gnome because I showed him the “Papa Gnome” doll yesterday and he said, “You know, if you ever make one in a blue outfit with a longer beard, let me know. I’ll take a wizard.” And a fire was started in my brain. How to make a Merlin gnome. I am more than happy to post my modified instructions, but for now, I just want to look at him on my blog. He is so cute!!!
I couldn’t find Shadow in order to take a picture. He may be too freaked out by gnomes invading his home.

The Merlin Gnome sees you… (lol)

This site is dedicated to my (Lydia Lee's) angry knitting (and sewing and crocheted things). Whatever I make I tend to wrestle. I don't really mind unless it comes out bloody gorgeous! For photography, watercolor and other forms of art visit parent site:
